French Riviera
I’ve visited southern France in the second half of august basically by coincidence – I was there on a business trip. My new employer send me to La Ciotat for one week of training. La Ciotat is a small town, where the Lumiere brothers invented moving pictures.
Even though this trip wasn’t focused on photography, it wouldn’t be me to not use this opportunity to take some pictures. I just refused to sit in the hostel every evening and my colleagues and I went out every day after the training. So why not bring some nice pictures back, right?
We started in La Ciotat, of course, then we traveled the Route des Crêtes and afterwards explored another small harbor called Cassis. We even found some time to visit the student city of Aix-en-Provence and after each day I posted one photograph on <a href=”https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.532309806842973.1073741835.345067305567225&type=3″>Facebook</a> just to keep it alive.
But now it’s time to show you the rest and put more work to them not just crop them to a square. The fact is that all of the pictures were meant to be squared from the start – I’ve planned this limitation as a way to fight my creative block. It’s true that it made the whole process more complicated, but it also added some fun to it and, I dare to say, helped me a lot.
